Summary:
Global Power Components produces a variety of large, complex assemblies of power equipment. The Prefabrication Assembler will assist with building kits of predesigned assemblies, conduit bends, precut wire lengths, and control panels.

Summary:
Global Power Components produces a variety of large, complex assemblies of power equipment. The Prefabrication Assembler will assist with building kits of predesigned assemblies, conduit bends, precut wire lengths, and control panels.
Responsibilities:
- Use power / hand tools, to assemble predesigned subcomponents to be used later during larger assembly construction.
- Learn and apply general best practices and tool specific training to safely complete tasks.
- Work with WIP team to ensure prefabricated components reach production area.
- Work with WIP team to track orders of material for projects and coordinate successful delivery of material to the right place at the right time.
- Communicate with supervisor; meet their priorities and deadlines.
- Be productive.
- Pre-plan next tasks and next jobs. Communicate roadblocks to supervisor.
- Redirect / eliminate unproductive behaviors. (multiple trips for materials, cell phone use, excessive breaks, distractions, etc.).
- Be on time; work your scheduled shifts.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation between our two facilities (5 miles apart).
- 2 years’ experience with conduit bending, panel building, and/or general power tool handling preferred.
- Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen.
