Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, rapidly growing manufacturer of UL heavy-gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures housing fully integrated electrical distribution and control systems. Operating from our newly expanded 300,000 sq. ft. facility, we continue to invest in people, technology, and process excellence as the recognized leader in our industry. As we scale operations and continue to optimize our manufacturing systems, we are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing team.
Position Review:
In this role, you’ll play a key role in shaping repeatable manufacturing systems and processes to support our growth as a rapidly scaling company. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, project management, or supply chain, along with a strong track record of driving process improvement and organizational change. This position requires someone who is aggressively pragmatic and dynamically focused.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals and business growth targets.
- Lead the transition from ETO to repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency, cost control, and quality.
- Execute day-to-day operations through a seasoned team of production supervisors; provide leadership, coordination, and accountability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, engineering, quality, etc.) to ensure production readiness and resource availability.
- Implement and refine production planning systems (ERP/MRP), workflows, and reporting tools to increase visibility and control.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Manage internal coordination for material availability, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.
- Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and innovation throughout the production team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or production management roles.
- Experience in both ETO (Engineer to Order) and CTO (Configured to Order) manufacturing.
- Experience in scaling operations / change management.
- Experience with ERP Systems and digital inventory management tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience in project management or supply chain.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor.
WORK REQUIREMENTS;
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel between our facilities (<10 miles apart)
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling materials.
