Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. As a result of continued growth, we are looking for a motivated IT Director to join our growing team. The IT Director at Global Power Components is a builder and systems architect responsible for scaling the technology backbone of a rapidly growing manufacturing business. This role owns both enterprise software delivery and IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and built to support long-term growth. You will translate business strategy into executable technology roadmaps, using disciplined program management to deliver results on time and on budget. Leading cross-functional teams, you will modernize platforms, reduce complexity, and bring clarity to how work gets done. This role is for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and accountability.. Responsibilities:
IT Strategy & Leadership (build and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned to GPC’s growth, operational scale, and manufacturing footprint; serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology enablement, system scalability, cybersecurity risk, and digital transformation; establish IT governance, prioritization frameworks, and decision rights across software and infrastructure; define IT KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence tied to business outcomes).
Program Management & Delivery (own the enterprise IT portfolio, managing multiple concurrent programs and dependencies; apply strong program and project management discipline to roadmaps, timelines, budgets, resourcing, risk management; drive predictable delivery of initiatives across ERP, integrations, infrastructure upgrades, security, and data platforms; standardized SDLC, change management, and release practices).
Applications, Data & Enterprise Systems (oversee enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, finance, HR, manufacturing, supply chain, and reporting systems; lead systems integration, data architecture, and automation initiatives; reduce technical debt and improve system performance, usability, and reliability).
IT Infrastructure, Security & Operations (direct IT infrastructure operations: networks, servers, cloud platforms, endpoints, backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity; ensure system availability, business continuity, and incident response readiness; establish security standards, access controls, and compliance practices appropriate for a manufacturing environment).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to adopt and adapt to the GPC Culture.
10+ years progressive IT experience with 5+ years in a senior IT leadership role (Director or equivalent).
Strong background in ERP ecosystems, systems integration, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
Strong people leader with experience leading both application/software teams and IT infrastructure operations including a 20+ person team.
Exceptional program management capability managing complex, cross-functional portfolios.
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operationally complex environments strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and drive change
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required).
Master’s degree (MBA, MS IT, Engineering Management) preferred.
PMP, SAFe, ITIL, or similar certifications preferred.
Cybersecurity or cloud certifications a plus
