Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and metal modular equipment centers for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
As a result of our expansion, we are looking for a project manager. The position will require daily micro management of several projects. There are several departments that need to be touched multiple times per day based on daily changes.
Core Responsibility:
Manage several custom projects to the daily/weekly/monthly schedule
Allocate resources according to change in work flow
Manage project flow to avoid bottlenecks
Monitor long lead time items that may affect delivery
Follow up with incoming product and inventory for future projects
Physically inspect custom items to be used on products
Prepare weeks in advance by reviewing engineering drawings before project goes live
Preferred not Required:
Able to build/discuss Pareto Charts
Manufacturing business experience
Construction Management
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Project Management Certificate

65% Follow Up Micro Checking Changes with Schedule/Production
15% Resource Management
10% Checking Future Project Items
5% Setup Following Day/Week
2.5% Sales/Scheduling/Shipping Interaction
2.5% Micro Meeting/Daily Huddles

Hours: 45 hours to 50 hours per week

hours per week. So, we are looking for a core fit into the team that can help make a positive difference. This position is not managing other people. It is managing the process. We have not listed an education requirement; however we will be asking several questions to verify that the responsibilities could be performed.
