We are expanding our recruiting efforts and looking for a passionate, community‑focused HR Recruiter to help grow our skilled workforce.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and relationship‑driven HR Recruiter to source and attract talent for a variety of skilled trade roles, including welders, assemblers, painters, electricians, machine operators, and more. This role focuses heavily on community engagement and building pipelines with high schools, technical training programs, retired veterans, church youth groups, alternative schools, and local organizations. This is a hands‑on recruiting role ideal for someone who thrives on networking, grassroots outreach, and building meaningful community partnerships to identify future trades talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Sourcing & Outreach
  • Build and maintain recruiting partnerships with:
  • Local high schools, tech ed programs, and career counselors
  • Technical colleges, training programs, and apprenticeship organizations
  • Veteran groups and military transition programs
  • Church youth groups and community organizations
  • Alternative education institutions and workforce development centers
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to reach nontraditional candidate pools.
  • Represent Global Power Components at career fairs, community events, veteran hiring initiatives, and school presentations.

Recruitment & Hiring
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for skilled trade roles—including job postings, resume screening, interviews, assessments, and offers.
  • Identify candidates for welding, electrical assembly, machine operations, painting, fabrication, and general labor.
  • Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and adjust recruiting efforts accordingly.
  • Ensure timely communication and a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Employer Branding & Community Presence
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Global Power Components within the community.
  • Create outreach materials, flyers, and presentations to promote job opportunities.
  • Help build programs for internships, apprenticeships, youth engagement, and trade‑focused learning pipelines.

Operations & Administration
  • Track sourcing activities and hiring metrics to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Assist with onboarding events, orientation, and HR projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of recruiting, HR, workforce development, or community outreach experience (skilled trades recruiting a strong plus).
  • Experience building relationships with schools, training programs, or community groups preferred.
  • Strong communication and networking skills—comfortable presenting to groups of students, veterans, and community members.
  • Ability to travel locally to schools and events (company‑reimbursed).
  • A passion for helping people find fulfilling careers in the trades.
